"'Dead Walker, Texas Ranger' By Sleeping with Sirens Lyrics"
An assignment about the study of texts, fonts, and lettering. Chose song lyrics and created a font and illustration surrounding the words.
Lyrics read as: "You felt the bite now you'll be one, Don't tell your friends what you'll become"
I chose to highlight these lyrics by drawing different mouths of horror figures that bite and cause transformation like the vampire, the werewolf, and the zombie.

"Still Life Study"
I had to create my own still life and I chose things that belonged to my mother. All objects are very small in size. They consist of a ring, a small bottle of perfume, a tiny glass bottle, a rose brooch, and a tiny copper trash can.

"Emotional Princess?"
This a comment on Disney Princesses and how I noticed that most of the Disney Princesses representing a people of color are shown throughout the films with intense expressions and emotions, yet their white counterparts are hardly ever shown angry or highly emotional.

"3 Oranges on a Blue Plate"
This piece was about chance. I had to roll a dice to find out how and what I was creating. For my project I received the following criteria:
1. 10x10 Canvas
2. Acrylic
3. Unconventional Tools
4. Abstract
5. Complementary Colors
6. Still Life
I used Q-Tips to paint this piece.

"Father Time"
Capturing a moment in time where things are temporary and ever changing such as a splash and melting candle wax. The clock was modelled off of another student's grandfather's clock. The glass represents the fragility that nothing is permanent.

"Nude Woman"
The female body into segments and parts as a robotic, plastic figure. A comment on the gaze of how the female body views its self, how women "put themselves together", and how others view them.
